Teacher Academy

The CFHLA Teacher Academy Program provides Central Florida educators the opportunity to learn - first hand - the hospitality industry by job shadowing a specific Lodging Establishment for an entire week during the month of June each year. This experience culminates with recognition as a participant at the CFHLA Reception.

Shadowing experiences include working the front desk of a hotel, attending management meetings, and supporting the hotel's food and beverage department.

To maintain the integrity of the CFHLA Teacher Academy program a revision has been made starting 2012 - Open to High School educators/administrators only.

CFHLA encourages High School Principals, Counselors, Hospitality Program Coordinators/Instructors, Career and Technical Educators, Tech Prep Coordinators, Business Teachers and Career Specialists to submit an application.
