Prakash Chowti, this year’s recipient of the Outstanding Security & Loss Prevention Employee of the Year, brings a reassuring presence that inspires calm, confidence, and trust among both guests and colleagues.

Prakash has shown remarkable growth in his role, taking initiative to become a leader among his peers and stepping forward to lead emergency responses. He consistently goes above and beyond expectations, strengthening operations and contributing to a safer environment for everyone on property.

His dedication is especially evident in the way he supports new security officers, serving as a mentor by shadowing them on calls and sharing best practices that enhance guest satisfaction, deter criminal activity, and elevate overall security operations.

What truly sets Prakash apart, however, is how he responds in the moments that matter most. During a late-night lobby patrol, he witnessed an 86-year-old guest lose control of her mobility scooter. Without hesitation, Prakash sprang into action, quickly removing the keys to cut the power and stop the scooter—preventing what could have been a serious injury.

In another instance, when a guest called searching for an item left at the bar that was not listed in lost and found, Prakash took full ownership of the situation. He personally searched the area, located the item, and ensured it was shipped back to the guest after they returned home.

Prakash also demonstrated exceptional composure and professionalism when de-escalating a tense situation involving an intoxicated and aggressive guest at one of the restaurants. His quick response and calm approach ensured the safety of everyone involved.
